Hi

Great to read about Ignition's partnership with Moreland City Council. I just want to clarify the name of the course: Certificate 1 in Transition Education (Ignition Theatre Training) and that the training and work experience in Lighting, Stage Management and Front of House was done with Industry Practitioners (Suze Smith and Leonie Van Eyk) and NMIT staff (Leesa Nash and Gretta Newall).

Thanks
Leesa

I have Spina Bifida & I sing with the Brimbank Multicultural Community Choir.

We practise at the Hunt Club in Deer Park on Monday nights from 7pm till 9:30pm.

We perform in events mainly in the western suburbs of Melbourne & have also sung at the St Kilda Festival & the Cultural Festival for the Commonwealth Games in 1996 at an event called Sing for Water, which raised money for people in villages in East Timor to have clean water & sanitisation.

On Saturday 13 August, we will be performing as part of a combined choir in Last Night of the Proms with another choir, SingWest, the Western Region Concert Band, the Victoria Police Pipe Band & special guest artist Gina Jeffries & her husband at Williamstown Town Hall.

I will tell my choir leader about your initiative & ask if the choir would mind if photos were taken of them.

Hi I would like to portrayed as a person with a disability who is unemployed and angry about it. Talented hardworking solid community member but unemployed. Possibly because of cultural aversion to fat people or even because I look different and am not the desired norm, I am fat female and lacking a limb. I use Fitzroy pool regularly for exercise and am a community volunteer as well as an artist, with a great life experience but still unemployed. Is it ageism, social exclusion or xenophobia.
