For some years, Arts Access has provided a successful referral system that has linked artists with potential employers. As a major employer of professional artists with extensive community based arts project experience, Arts Access receives many enquiries from artists and potential employers of artists. This online register enables a more effective service.

Arts Access recommends that potential employers follow up referees, and follow other standard recruitment procedures before employing the artists who are listed on the Engage Artist Register.
Inclusion on the Artist Register does not mean that Arts Access recommends the Artist. It is a self referral system only, and no checks have been done against the entries.
The Engage Artist Register includes:
Professional artists who are available for employment and have experience in working on arts projects with people who are disadvantaged including people with a disability.
Emerging and professional artists with a disability or who are disadvantaged.
A word for potential employers
Arts Access recommends that potential employers ensure that the artists are employed at professional rates of pay. This will include payment for meetings, purchasing art materials, report writing and completion time.
