Artist Engagement Pilot Program will be rolled out in three stages over 2019. This is the first stage. The program will be evaluated periodically through action research and we want to hear from you.

Artist Engagement meets disabled and Deaf artists as authorities on their own work. We provide information and resources to build artist’s capacity to thrive within inclusive artistic and industry contexts. 

Artist Engagement addresses the barriers to professional development and employment in the arts for artists with disability and those who are Deaf.

Artist Engagement builds relationships and partnerships across the arts, education and training. We develop strategies and programs to support sustainable career pathways for disabled artists within the creative arts industry.

Artist Engagement showcases and awards the achievements of disabled artists as they take their place in the arts as cultural leaders and innovators. Our current projects include:

Artist Engagement (AE) provides information and resources to build artist’s capacity to thrive within inclusive artistic and industry contexts.

If you have a creative practice that you want to explore and develop, we can assist you. Artist Engagement provides monthly updates on our activities and opportunities. Join our database and attend events to network with other artists, share your ideas, develop your professional skills, and find out about grants and industry opportunities.

3. Enrolment (fee for service, NDIS & scholarships)

To enrol in AE Professional Development (Training and Mentoring) artists must pay a fee for service, be registered with NDIS or successfully apply for AAV’s Financial Scholarships. Call reception.

4. Eligibility

If you are a practicing artist with disability or who are Deaf, you are eligible to participate and enrol with AE. AE works with emerging, mid-career and established artists and producers. Book in or enrol.

Expressions of Interest (EOI) will roll out for a variety of Professional Development opportunities over the year. Stay tuned for dates via our eNews.
