Artist Engagement (AE) Pilot Program Launch: January – December 2019 will be rolled out in three stages. We are currently in the first stage. The program will be evaluated periodically through action research.

Artist Engagement meets disabled and Deaf artists as authorities on their own work. We provide information and resources to build artist’s capacity to thrive within inclusive artistic and industry contexts.  

Artist Engagement addresses the barriers to professional development and employment in the arts for artists with disability and those who are Deaf.

Artist Engagement builds relationships and partnerships across the arts, education and training. We develop strategies and programs to support sustainable career pathways for disabled artists within the creative arts industry.

Artist Engagement showcases and awards the achievements of disabled artists as they take their place in the arts as cultural leaders and innovators. Our current initiatives include:

Getting Started

We assist practising artists and producers with disability, mental health lived experience and who are Deaf. This includes emerging, mid-career and established artists and producers.

Enrolment (fee for service and NDIS)

To enrol in AE Professional Development (Mentoring, Training and Skills Sharing) artists must pay a fee for service or be registered with NDIS
