Applications are open for Nexus 2021

Nexus 2021 is a free eight-week professional development program for artists with Acquired/Traumatic Brain Injury aged 18-26.

Three Nexus artists at the Art Centre Melbourne Channel.

Nexus at the Channel, The Kiln, Arts Centre Melbourne, 2019.

You may have been making art before your injury, or perhaps art is something you have found since. Either way, this is a golden opportunity for you to:

  • Learn how to maintain a successful arts practice within the Disability Arts sector
  • Hear from artists and professionals in the field
  • Build a network that can support you in your future career

Building from the success of previous Nexus programs, this year’s program has been adapted by and for people with Acquired/Traumatic Brain Injury. The contents are based on life experiences common to artists after acquiring a brain injury. There will be regular breaks and a support worker provided throughout the program.

Workshops will run on Tuesdays from 2 February to 23 March, 10 am – 1 pm, at our office in South Melbourne.

If you don’t want to miss out on this opportunity, please download the form and email it to Eva Sifis (AAV Project Officer) at by 5 pm on Monday 13 April 2021

For more information, please contact Eva Sifis (AAV Project Officer) at or on (03) 9699 8299.
