Please come with us on an exciting journey as we dig into the archives of Art Day South’s proud history in readiness for next year’s 30th anniversary.
Art Day South started in 1991 as a pilot program based in a pop-up studio at the Linden Gallery, St Kilda. The artists were (and are!) so committed that in less than five years they had secured ongoing funding and moved into a new home in Dingley Village.
Whether they describe themselves as recreational artists or emerging artists, the group have achieved amazing things together! Did you know their work was included in an international touring exhibition launched at the Paralympic Arts Festival in 2000? Or that, in 2004, they made a film that was premiered at The Other Film Festival, Australia’s first international disability film festival?
Join us again next month as we continue to highlight different aspects of Art Day South’s proud history.
