Past Programs

With the support from Creative Victoria, in 2021 we created a new grants program for Deaf and Disabled Artists, Creatives and Arts Workers in Victoria.

The program was a pilot study in creating accessible funding programs for Deaf and Disabled artists We wanted to drive change for future funding programs.

There were two funding streams in Accelerate:

  • Nurture are grants of $5,000 (plus $2,500 access costs) for artists
  • Create are grants of $15,000 (plus $5,000 access costs) for artists

This program is now closed.

Arts Access Victoria partnered with Port Phillip Council to deliver THRIVE Creative Grants. These grants aimed to assist and encourage Victorian Deaf and Disabled artists to:

  • develop professional skills and realise creative projects in the City of Port Phillip.
  • increase the diversity of individuals accessing Council’s arts programs and processes.

The creative projects were presented during Open Doors Emerald Hill, a free one-day winter arts festival in July.

This program is currently closed.
