Networking
We host networking sessions for you to meet other creatives and connect with us and the broader arts and cultural sector. Please see below for regular sessions currently running.
The Gathering
The Gathering is an online forum for Deaf and Disabled artists held on the last Tuesday of every month. It is hosted on Zoom by our CEO, Caroline Bowditch, with a range of industry guests.
These sessions have been a great way to meet other artists, find out about grant opportunities or other programs for artists, and take part in critical discussions about the arts sector in Australia.
Since May 2020, artists from all over Australia have met and discussed issues, such as disability leadership, art in a pandemic, equity versus equality, visions for the sector, and much more. Previous Gatherings have welcomed presentations from Creative Victoria, the City of Melbourne, and Melbourne Fringe Festival. We also celebrated the 2020 Stella Young Award winner!
The Gathering is a space for us to talk about what we’re working on and where we’re going. Sessions are always Auslan interpreted, and you can contribute as much or as little as you’d like. We invite you to come and join us!
When: last Tuesday of the month, 2.30 pm – 4.00 pm
Where: Zoom
Access: This event will be Auslan interpreted.
Please RSVP to rsvp@artsaccess.com.au by 4 pm on Monday so that we can send you the Zoom link.
