Storytelling in short films can be an act of reclaiming power. To share experiences and shift ideologies. A way to disrupt assumptions and re-set stereotypes. We invite filmmakers from underrepresented communities to share their invaluable experiences. Through short film case studies, we will explore:

  • Practical strategies for authentic storytelling and casting
  • How to prioritise access in production
  • Audience engagement strategies

Place for Every Story in Short Films is part of The Big Picture Filmmaker Development Day. You can check out the whole program on the St Kilda Film Festival website
