Professional Development for Young Deaf and Disabled Artists
Future Reset – Maker Space is a series of free in person and online visual and digital arts workshops. Future Reset – Maker Space is for young Deaf and Disabled people aged 18 – 25 at any skill level. Beginners welcome! This is a safe space for making art, socialising and creating community with your peers. The workshops are split into terms with different artists leading them. Hybrid workshop dates
Saturday August 3 – Exhibition planning
Learn how to plan an exhibition and how to get involved in the Maker Space end of year showcase. Led by Teague Leigh, the Curator of Maker Space’s end of year exhibition.
Saturday August 10 – Honouring your Access
In this workshop you’ll start to build your own access rider. This includes understanding your boundaries and how to say no. Led by Arty Owens, AAV’s Creative Producer for Youth Programs.
Saturday August 17 – Finance for Artists
This workshop is the starter pack for finance as an artist. Learn the basics of budgeting, invoicing and more. Led by CJ Jonathan, AAV’s Creative Producer for Maker Space.

Learn how you can make your artwork and online presence more accessible. This includes alt text, voice over, image descriptions and more. Led by Seb Fowler.
