Join us for the May Gathering!

The Gathering is our monthly online forum for Deaf and Disabled artists and industry guests.

The Gathering is an online forum for Deaf and Disabled artists held on the last Wednesday of every month (except January and December). It is hosted on Zoom by our CEO, Caroline Bowditch, with a range of industry guests.

These sessions have been a great way to meet other artists, find out about grant opportunities or other programs for artists, and take part in critical discussions about the arts sector in Australia.

Since May 2020, artists from all over Australia have met and discussed issues, such as disability leadership, art in a pandemic, equity versus equality, visions for the sector, and much more. Previous Gatherings have welcomed presentations from Creative Victoria, the City of Melbourne, and Melbourne Fringe Festival. We also celebrated the 2020 and 2021 Stella Young Award winners!

The Gathering is a space for us to talk about what we’re working on and where we’re going.

Sessions are always Auslan interpreted, and you can contribute as much or as little as you’d like.

We invite you to come and join us!
