In This Place
A Disability led collective storytelling project. Telling stories through drawing, writing, performance and digital media.
Explore your connection to the places you live and play in through ‘In This Place’. A series of inclusive workshops by Arts Access Victoria performance ensemble Echo Collective. In the workshops the ensemble will share different creative ways of telling stories connecting to place.
The ‘In This Place’ workshops will cover improvisation, drawing, performing, writing, and using your voice. Echo Collective members will share with you their performance skills and support you in the workshops so you can explore ways to tell stories connected to place and belonging. Each member will bring different creative skills and experiences. These workshops will give you an opportunity to step into the world of Echo Collective and discover your creative self. At the end of the workshops there will be a viewing and celebration of the collective works made during the workshops.
Participants can choose to participate in one workshop or all! Maximum of 10 participants per workshop. Hobsons Bay residents prioritised.
The project concludes with a celebration session, open to all to celebrate the creativity of the ‘In This Place’ participants and experience the magical work of Echo Collective.
