Talent Camp 2022 Info Session

The Australian Film Television & Radio School (AFTRS) has opened submissions for Talent Camp 2022. 

Talent Camp is a skills development program for creatives from diverse backgrounds. The program provides opportunities for emerging storytellers to create new content and be employment ready for the screen sector.

Talent Camp 2022 will have two streams:

  • Narrative Workshops focusing on screenwriting, producing and directing for comedy and drama.
  • Documentary Workshops focusing on directing and producing with post-workshop mentorships.

The Narrative stream takes place in 5 states: Victoria, South Australia, Tasmania, New South Wales and Queensland. Two participants from each state will attend National Talent Camp.

The Documentary Stream will take place at National Talent Camp only. The workshops will be held during the Australian International Documentary Conference (AIDC).

Talent Camp will fund one work from each stream after National Talent Camp. 

Funding will be:

  •  $20,000 for a narrative production
  • $15,000 for a documentary production.

Submissions close at 11.59 pm on Monday 6 December 2021.

Submissions will be accepted for both film and episodic web/TV series (long or short form).
