Embrace: AAV Mentorship Program Exhibition

This exhibition is a collaboration between Arts Access Victoria and The Dax Centre.

A striking abstract painting, showing bold colours, strong lines with more intricate details in the lower third.

Jas Streten, "Travel", acrylic on canvas, 2025.

“Embrace” celebrates community, acceptance, reflection, and joy. The exhibition features six artists from Arts Access Victoria’s Arts Mentorship Program.

The exhibition creates close, personal moments that highlight shared stories and different viewpoints. Using painting, drawing, installation, and mixed media. Soft colours and strong patterns sit beside shiny surfaces and tactile forms. Stop, talk, and find yourself in each other’s stories.

More About the Exhibition

Works range from pieces that map common memories to quiet studies of belonging. Each shows resilience and warmth. Hands-on moments invite slow thought and group conversation. The gallery becomes a place of mutual recognition and celebration. The artworks suggest that empathy is something we do and something we gain. An active embrace that respects difference and honours connection.
