Join us as we celebrate The Collective - 50 years of Arts Access Victoria!

The Collective in glitter

For 50 years, Arts Access Victoria (AAV) has championed disability justice and the human rights of Deaf and Disabled people through art.

The Collective digs deep into the AAV archive, highlighting projects across the decades. Witness the huge social shift from incarceration to liberation, across 50 years of practice.

The exhibition includes artworks by Deaf and Disabled artists working today that respond to the archives. Discover works that are bold, uncompromising, authentic, and proud.

Doors open: 4 pm

Speeches start at 4.30 pm.

Music by DJ Fina Po starts at 5.30 pm.

Explore the Audio/Visual installation featuring work by over 100 artists.

Food and drinks provided.

This is a mask friendly event.

When: Friday 5 July 4 pm – 7 pm

Where: Meat Market Stables, 2 Wreckyn Street (corner of Wreckyn St and Courtney Streets), North Melbourne.

Access: Auslan interpreted and live streamed. Live captioning for online attendees, register your attendance to receive a link to the livestream. Audio description for Audio/Visual installation.The stables are an accessible venue with accessible bathrooms. There is a quiet room. Assistance animals welcome.
