Fiona Taylor

Fiona Taylor works across a variety of mediums. These include painting, printmaking, ceramics, sculpture, digital animation and photography. Fiona’s inspiration is urban and natural landscapes.  She often works from images taken on specific journeys. These journeys resonate with her on a personal level. Fiona’s works also reflects upon particular emotional states. These are represented through symbolic imagery in her body of work ‘freedom birds’.

Fiona will complete her Visual Arts Diploma in 2023 at RMIT.  She attends Arts Access Victoria’s Nimbus and Artstop studios.  Fiona also receives mentoring in painting and photography.

Since 2009 Fiona has exhibited more than 70 times both nationally and internationally. She has received  2 commissions for Brotherhood St Laurence and Victoria Together.  She has been presented at Melbourne Art Fair and had a residency at Yarra Sculpture Gallery. She received an Acquisition Prize at 2014 Silk Cut Awards. Fiona has been a finalist in Wyndham Art Prize, Darebin A1 Art Salon Prize and Toyota Spirit Gallery Sculpture Prize.
