Carol Dobson

abstract painting in greens blues and yellows

I started making art when I was hospitalised at Montpark, at the Artshed in the 70’s. It was a special art place, completely separate from being in the ward. Splash Art Studios closed now was where I had my last exhibition in 2015.

My preferred medium is acrylic painting and pen and ink drawing on paper. I like to observe chairs and windows and represent them. “ My paintings are how I see something”. Painting and drawing is really important to me, I have four sides, my social, my academic, my dark, and my creative side, all of those sides are important to me. I need to use my creative side, to balance out everything. Neglecting my creative side does not work
