Josephine Lazidis

I’ve been making art since I was little. When I think of making, painting is my favourite and drawing on paper. I enjoy using acrylic paints, sharpie pens, watercolour paints and coming back to artworks with graphite pencil. Sometimes I scrape back into the painting with a pencil. What interests me is to paint stories about people, my family including my baby nephew Charlie. I like to paint favourite food and drinks like my favourite cereal Sultana Bran.

I also enjoy painting images from special memories of family trips. Like overseas holidays with trips to Disneyland with my 4 siblings. We have grown up watching Disney movies together. Disney characters are special to me, I link them to my favourite music.

I make art because I love it and I can. I only paint when I feel happy. I express myself best through my artworks, as people sometimes find it hard to understand me when I talk.
