Karim Sarakbi
Like many artists at Art Day South, Karim Sarakbi is both a visual artist and a performer. His illustrative practice draws on comic books, cartoons, and his expansive inner world. Similarly, his performance work combines elements of pop culture with his own unique voice. He is a prolific artist and his drawings can be described as finely detailed with bold pattern and linework. Throughout his visual and performance work, Karim describes a unique world which poses questions of both moral and existential nature such as age old questions around good verses evil and nature verses man made.
Karim is also a big collector. His collections include, rocks, shells, toys, comic books, music, movies and animation.
