Echo Collective is an inclusive youth performance group that focuses on project development and outcomes in the performing arts.
Echo Collective brings young people with disability and from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds together in their commitment and passion for artmaking and performing. The group is led by the participant artists, with the support from practising theatre-makers from Arts Access Victoria, providing participants with the opportunity to have a strong say in the direction of the group and to build skills in performance development, production and outcomes.
Winners of the Maribyrnong Inclusive Recognition Award for Best Inclusive Art Group, Echo Collective’s performance works include Voyage, Arts Centre Melbourne (2017), Leap for Melbourne Fringe Festival (2016), Light Up (2015), Roar Through Me, video work (2014), Night of Terrors, Phoenix Youth Centre (2014) and Boxed, 100 Story Building (2013).
