I got into doing the nudes when we went to the gallery in the city, I saw these most amazing old-fashioned drawings of the naked body and wondered if I could do embroidery on pillowcases. People are often offended by nakedness and sex, but I think they’re natural. Embroidery and writing are the same, every stitch I make is a word.
