Raymond Martin

Raymond Martin is a multi-skilled artist with a focus on oil and acrylic painting, living and working in the suburbs. He explores the suburban Australian experience, and the changing landscape of Melbourne. As well as his great love, history, Ray is inspired by many things. Military art and the industrial, Hollywood portraiture, and famous and powerful people.

Ray is currently working on a series of what he calls ‘dark paintings’ for an upcoming solo show in 2023. Through these works he is exploring the beauty of the night and the spooky effect of the darkness on the mundane.
